Padel was invented in 1969 by a Mexican national, Enrique Corcuera. Today, Padel is one of the most popular sports in the world
HOW DO YOU PLAY PADEL?
Padel Racket
Unlike tennis and squash racquets, a padel racquet does not contain string, it is smaller and more compact, which makes it easier to handle.
Ball
Slightly smaller than tennis
Scoring
Scoring is exactly like Tennis (15, 30, 40 and game). Games are played as the best of three sets, each of which consist of six games.
The Walls
Glass walls surrounding the courts are always a part of the game, however if the ball hits the wall, then bounces on the ground or directly to the wall, the opponent scores a point.
Serve
Each match begins with a serve, which must be done underarm but like tennis must go diagonally into the opponent’s court.
Rules
Padel is generally played with double players on each team; however, a player per team is also applicable.
